A few British friends said the government sold out the UK industry. Especially car manufacturing. I remembered a Top Gear show from 10 years ago where they proved how many vehicles were still made in the UK. The brands were sold but the cars were still made in Great Britain.

It made me curious how it was today. And I was surprised how many vehicles were made in Britain, The brands were sold to Germany, India and China but the cars were produced in the UK. British technical Know-How is on a high standard. Lets begin:

QUOTE: BorgWarner UK is at the forefront of turbocharging systems and electrification components, powering a “greener future,” as they love to say. But it’s not just a catchy slogan. They’re known for innovations that refine both fuel efficiency and lower emissions. Racing fans might appreciate how they’ve taken traditional turbocharging—so crucial in performance cars—and adapted it for hybrid and electric configurations. The result? Engines that offer robust power while still respecting environmental concerns. If you ask me, BorgWarner has a knack for blending adrenaline-fueled performance with conscientious engineering. I once saw a demonstration of their electric turbo setup, and it was mesmerizing how quickly the system responded to every throttle input—instant torque with minimal waste
